Gone Phishing is a site about protecting your personal information, so we try hard to practice that ourselves.

What we collect

Browsing this site does not require an account, and we don’t ask you for your name or email address anywhere. The only information we collect is what you choose to type into the Submit a Scam Example form: a scam category, a description, and an optional reference link. We deliberately do not ask for — and ask you not to provide — any personal information about yourself or anyone else in that submission.

How submissions are handled

Submissions are delivered through Formspree, a third-party form processing service, which may log minimal technical metadata (such as IP address and timestamp) for spam prevention, per Formspree’s own privacy policy. We review submissions privately for research purposes — to spot patterns and inform future educational content. Submissions are never published, quoted, or attributed on this site without separately asking you first.
